I had hoped to have this post done sooner, but alas...three kids and holiday traveling is not conducive to accomplishing anything.
I was induced on 11/16/11. The only reason for the induction is because I had been induced twice before with great results and was already dilated to a 4...and I have a very nice OB who likes very controlled and easy deliveries...just like me :)
I woke up at 3am and was unable to go back to sleep. So, I started off very tired. That morning: IV by 7:30, Pitocin by 7:45, epidural by 8. After an hour and a half Isaac started to have some late decels. Meaning - his heart rate was dropping a bit with contractions. Very normal, but they turned off the pitocin for a while to see if he'd quit. He leveled back out and they turned by pit back on at 10:15. By 10:30 I was feeling like he was coming very soon. At 10:40 the doc was in the room and ready to go. I pushed through one contraction - or roughly 2 minutes - and he was out! 7 lb, 11 oz, 20 in. Born at 10:45 am.
They cleaned him up before I held him. So in those few minutes, Jason got some good pictures and I was able to lay and listen to his little cries. Of course, I was crying too. Call it an emotional release, I always cry immediately after my babies are born.
I was having a lot of bleeding after delivery. Had to have some extra medication and an injection, plus an extra bag of pitocin to help contract my uterus. But otherwise, my delivery and postnatal period were great. Jason spent most of his time at home with the other kids trying to keep them in line. My mom spent most of her time with me in the hospital. Coordinating visits was a little chaotic, but it went very well.
Getting ready to go to the hospital. I didn't have many pictures taken of me before delivery. Looking at this makes me realize how big I was and how much weight I need to lose!
Isaac's face was very bruised due to the fast delivery. He was very healthy, but a little purple in the face!
First time holding him.

First time Jason held him.
Mom showing Isaac to the kids. Andrew ran in the room yelling "baby brother, baby brother!" They were instantly in love. Andrew, however, only lasted about 30 seconds before he started "investigating" the contents of the room. Needless to say it was lunch time soon.

Leah drove up with her boys. Cute picture!
Allison is so proud of her little brother!
Grandpa. Jason's mom was in California doing a lecture and missed the delivery. But she got to see him that weekend when she got back.
Allison got to come back up Wednesday night by herself and spend some time holding him. She is such a little momma! Half the time I'm telling her to back up or leave him alone.
Andrew likes holding him too. We have to be careful with him! He'll try and walk off with him.
My boys
Sweet
Welcome to zone defense!
