Halloween

Allison decided a while ago that she wanted to be a dinosaur for Halloween. The problem is, it's not something I can make easily, and all the dino costumes online were either for little babies, or very expensive. So, we gently led her towards being a pirate. We knew that we had some pirate paraphernalia at home, so we thought that would work. Well, turns out she didn't want to be a regular pirate, but a girl pirate. To be specific, she wanted to be Izzy from the Disney show Jake and the Neverland Pirates. It's a very easy costume. Purple leggings, pink shirt, boots, pink bandana, and an accessory of pixie dust hanging in a yellow pouch around her neck. I didn't have a pink bandana, but purple worked!
Andrew was your everyday, run of the mill pirate. I painted his face with mascara to give him a pretty fierce beard though.

Jason had just gotten home from China the night before, so he was hurting pretty bad. Extremely tired and running on less than fumes. We got the kids dressed a little early, but they were getting bored sitting at home waiting for it to get dark.

A little trick or treating warm up!

We headed around the cul-de-sac and then drove over to my friend Katie's house to go around her neighborhood with her three boys. They were all super heroes, and pretty stinking cute. The kids had a great time, and made it home with a ton of candy!

The three super heroes and the two pirates!

Good times...way too much sugar :)
