On the way into church this morning Allison commented that it was a great day to fly a kite because it was so windy. First - that's just cute. Second - I agree!
After naps, we headed out for a few minutes. I say a few minutes because that's about as long as we can go. I help her get the kite up, she holds on for a while, then the kite bites the dust and she gets mad. After a few rounds of doing this - I was done.
Up and running .
Woody and Buzz. This was a gift from Jason's parents last spring
(or fall, can't remember).
"Mom, it's not working. It keeps falling down."
"This kite won't stay up."
"Hmpf." stomp, stomp, stomp. And we're done.
Came back to the yard and let the kids play for the first time this year while I got dinner ready (grilled burgers and chicken!). Yes, they've been outside, but I set the water tables up and got out their old toys. It was great. So ready for this season!!

Andrew hears a dog and keeps saying, "Where doggie?"

"Doggie!"

Of course, the water used to be clean, until Allison dumped dirt into it.

Fun evening. Reading books after dinner while the KU game was on. Nice win by the Jayhawks. Headed to bed!

The kite section sounds about like me and running...yes, here we go, running, meh forget it...haha. Cute kiddies!
Sounds like a great day! I hope this weather sticks around for a while!
I love Allie's dress. She does have a point. Kite flying shouldn't be so hard. :)
