So, Andrew was born weighing 7.14. He went home weighing 7.4, and two days later weighed 7.6. That is a weight gain of approximately 40 grams a day and newborns need to gain 20-30. So, even at last appointment he was growing. But, we went back yesterday and Andrew weighed in a whopping 8.8!! Which means a weight gain of 73 grams per day! That is huge! He gained 1 lb, 2 oz in just one week. I've been telling Jason that he eats a lot, and now I have the proof. I joke that I'm cutting him off, but the thing about breast fed babies is you never really know how much they're getting. So, I'll keep feeding him every 3 hours during the day and let him sleep a little more at night (if he will). And those moments when he's awake and acting hungry after only an hour...well, he's out of luck!
We're having a laid back Saturday. Jason took Allie to Deanna Rose and let me sleep in a little. I ran some errands with Andrew, came back, got everyone lunch. Now Jason is putting Allie down for a nap and I'm going to take a nap myself! Sounds good!
