Couldn't help a pic of baby bump at 20 weeks. So, we know it's a boy, but are no where close to a name. Jason is really really leaning towards Andrew James, which was our name if Allie was a boy. It's alright, but it's not totally doing it for me! Notice I conveniently cut off my head!!
Getting dressed up to go play in the snow on Wednesday.
It was a little hard for her to maneuver in her get up. I was genuinely worried about her getting cold, so she was really bundled!
We played outside with some neighbor kids who had some snow shovels. Allie was pretty reluctant to do much, she just mostly watched.
She did finally get into "throwing" the snow.
Allie has been eating a lot better, and has been trying most anything as long as Jason and I are eating it too. It helps when we sit down as a family (which is every night that I'm not working). When we serve each other out of the same dish she gets more excited. She says "time to eat!" and runs to her chair. We have done away with the booster seat somehow and she just sits in a big chair on her knees, which usually ends with her standing. We have to remind her to sit down all the time. Anyway, this was a chicken enchilada casserole that was not particularly spicy, but definitely had a little kick. She really liked it, but it was hot. Jason and her got a kick out of "blowing" on their food. I thought this was kind of cute!!
I had my first day of clinical today. I'll be in Lee's Summit on Monday and Independence on Tuesday. It's a bit of a haul, but my preceptor is really nice and I think I'll learn a lot. I already saw three things in one day that I never saw at my other clinical site...so, lot's of learning ahead of me!!
I think I'm going to go to bed early tonight. I have to get up bright and early, and Jason has to go back to work, so I'm not looking forward to sitting by myself. He's been working a lot lately, but it's been good for him. We need to pray for his immediate boss as he's been out sick for several weeks. It's hard on the family (it's a family business) and hard on Jason.
Hope you all had a wonderful Monday,
Valerie
