So Jason was out of town last week and will be again this week (he's home this weekend to watch Allie so I can work). I hate it when he's gone. I know he's not at home during the day anyway, but those evenings can get long. The weather was cruddy so I didn't have class Thursday night...which was fine, except that I had a test that night and had crammed for hours while a friend of mine watched Allison. So, I would rather have just gotten it over with. Oh well. I feel like I'm keeping my head above water with class, clinical, work, mom/wife/house work! So far the house is not a complete disaster and I have managed to keep food in the house and laundry done!
Allison has managed to stay healthy this winter (knock on wood). I didn't get her second flu shot because I got her first one late, then forgot, then they ran out. So we're keeping our fingers crossed that she won't pick anything up. My friend Katherine's daughter Anna is sick again. At least running a fever. I know that Katherine is probably at her wits end because Anna is not in day care and really doesn't go anywhere but church...and yet...she picks up bugs somehow. Winter stinks and I'm ready for it to be over! I usually like the cold because I hate heat...but now that Allie is walking I'm ready to take her outside and play because I get so stir crazy inside. I know I can take her out in the cold if I bundle her up...but that's no fun! I'm ready for the pool and a park and walks and running around in our backyard!!
So this week will be a little brutal. I work Saturday, Sunday, have a class all day Monday, Tuesday and part of the day on Wednesday, class Thursday (with a test) and clinical Friday. Wow... But Jason's brother will be here, then my mom, then my friend Katie, then Jason's brother, then my in-laws...with everyone's help, I will prevail!! It's just a bad week for Jason to be gone (is there ever a good week?) But the weekend of March 1st and 2nd I have off and we're doing something really exciting at church. I'm just in charge of hospitality, but we are having a neat service where tables will be set up like a coffee shop, good food, drinks, and a visual presentation of movies and music with discussing to present a theme common to the human soul. Please visit www.storyofthesoul.org for more info! I'm glad to have the whole weekend off!! My in-laws are in town and Jason and I can work on the project (he's presenting) and hang out! Then I work Monday. So, busy week, but I know that it will all work out. At least I'm getting paid for the classes I'm taking Mon, Tues, Wed!
Well, I'm actually at work today so I better go. I have a student with me and we just have one kid so there's not a lot for me to do. I promise to post more pics and maybe a video soon. Allison has been a trooper this last week. She is such a good kid and has decided that this will be a week she will eat!! I have also decided that walking is wonderful. She's happier and can entertain herself easier!
Have a great weekend!!

Hi Val,
This is really in response to your comment on my blog but thought it would be appropriate here. I LOVE the pictures of Allie. I've always thought she looked more like Jason but there are some expressions in these pictures that make me think of you.
We know you'd love to be here for Kristi's wedding...and we'd love to have you here. We will miss you, but completely understand your schedule and the timing being impossible. I'm still looking forward to meeting little Allie some day!
Yes, you and Jason need to take a vacation to Colorado and just relax. Between us in Longmont and Chellie in Colorado Springs and (does Jason have family in Denver?) you could have some nice (and free) jump-off points to do some fun alone things. Wouldn't it be nice to have some alone with hubby time? We've also got empty rooms most of the time now. We'd watch Alli for a day while you and Jason go play! Remember, I'm a grandma living without grandchildren so am always happy to adopt one or two for awhile.
Hang on...spring is getting very near. It's been a long hard winter!
Love ya,
AA
Just make sure you drink your caffeine and I think you'll be just fine.
Thanks for your concern for Anna. She's all better again.
