Just a quick recap. This is the stream by our condo. We spent a LOT of time there throwing rocks and just walking around.

Helping Allie walk around.
Wednesday morning, Allie started puking and Jason stayed home with her. I took Andrew out on a walk. What a big boy! He is getting incredibly independent. Fun, but exhausting. Now, when you call to him, he just sits down and looks at you like, "what...I'm not moving."

Jason's brother, Mark and uncle, Dave came up for a couple nights. I will say it wasn't as entertaining as it could have been, but we had a good time.
We went to Dillon for the morning. Hit up some outlet malls before the rain hit. There's a fun bridge Allie wanted to throw rocks off of.
Yeah, don't think you're gonna' move that one buddy.
Walking around Breck. Lots of fun shops on Main street. We also spent a lot of time there! The kids also cozied up!
Also...lost of reading! Uncle Dave and Mark got roped into a lot of Cat in the Hat!
Took a little hike with the kids. It didn't last long. Both were a little crabby and wanted to be held. Very difficult to do with the thin air, hiking up a mountain.
Took a carriage ride. A quick 10 minute jaunt. Kids enjoyed it.
Reflection: No vacation is relaxing with two small children. We learned to make the most of it. Definitely didn't expect Allison to get sick, and didn't anticipate how little they would sleep the first few days. But, it was still better than being at home. Got to see some beautiful country and enjoy some time just to ourselves. But...I think it will be a while before we do that again. I think next time we bring some grandparents!

Or Auntie! You guys need to drop the kids with grandparents and come hike with us in the Smokies!
LOVE Breckenridge. That is where Bob's sister and her husband have retired. They have a beautiful home in the mountains. So glad you got some time away from the flatlands and the heat. Well, we are having some beautiful weather here though. Were the aspens changing colors? My goal is to get out there when they are in full color.
Uh, I want to go to the Smokies too!
Agreed: vacation with two small children is quite different that before children. We've decided that a condo right on the beach is likely the best bet as sand and water will entertain small children indefinitely and it will wear them out sufficiently :+)
Still, looks like fun to me. Allie's pic was quite impressive, with her placement of the subjects in the lower third of the pic. Glad to see that everyone is feeling better. Miss you at work.
