5/25/09

We have our induction scheduled for 6 am Monday morning. That puts our little man's birthday at 5/25/09. I'm "at least a 4" my OB said and she is confident that the induction will not take long. She cautioned me again that if I start having contractions in the next few days that I come right in as this time they would not sent me home and she's afraid that I might wait too long. It's nice having a date. At this point, I've waited this long that a few more days doesn't matter, and this way I get to shower, make sure my bag is packed, and leave the house in our own time without feeling rushed. Jason joked that 6 am was too early. He said "that was my day to sleep in." Of course he said this with a smile on his face knowing full well that those days are nearly over. We are going to rest up this weekend while we can since Jason's parents are in town.

On a side note, for all those people who wonder what it feels like to walk around at 4 cm dilated...well, it feels like I've pulled every muscle in my groin! Today has been the worst yet. I even got some sympathy looks from some women in Target. The slow waddle is pretty bad! I've had a bad back for about 10 years now from a fall from horse in college. I have a pinched nerve in my back that catches occasionally. It's very painful, but doesn't hurt too often. Well, I guess what I'm experiencing now is more like pulled muscles coupled with a pinched nerve feeling. Seriously uncomfortable! Ok, enough complaining, because you know what...it's a means to an end, and as long as Andrew is healthy, I am willing to endure whatever I need to!

Ok, Allie is down for a nap and I think I'll take one too. Not many days left where I can do that!

My next post will probably be about baby, so look for something Monday or Tuesday!
