Just a quick update

Well, most of you all know by now, but I'm 9 weeks pregnant. For my aunts, if you haven't heard, this makes great-grand baby number 14 for grandma and grandpa! I am due June 1st, although I thoroughly anticipate being a gestational diabetic again and delivering early. I am done with school early May, so it's actually good timing. The interesting thing about all of this is I started wearing maternity pants at 5 weeks. And, I don't mean I was just feeling a bit bloated, but I had a true belly!! I am now 9 weeks and look about 5 months pregnant...no joke, for those who have seen me, it is no joke!
Anyway, we're all healthy here. Jason gets home tonight from being gone for a week in Colorado. The one and only time he says he'll travel for this job. It's been a rough week. I had clinical and a midterm I was working on, and then Thursday on the way to clinical I rear-ended a lady on Wornall. Never hit anyone in my life, but sure enough, it was a busy morning and I got distracted and looked up in enough time to slam on my brakes. It's a really long story, but in the end, we're all ok there's just been some headaches!
I have absolutely ZERO motivation to do anything lately. Jason has been really sweet about it, but it's getting a little out of control. My mom was here today watching Allie so I could go to a conference for school. She cleaned my kitchen floor and countertops and I walked in and said, "what did you do, it smells clean?" It's bad news!!
Anyway, just thought I'd share. So far, even though I have a huge belly there is only one in there. We saw a little heartbeat at 6 weeks, and everything looks fine. I have no  morning sickness or nausea. That actually works against me in many ways because I eat everything in sight! Ok, so maybe that explains the belly!

Hope all is well!!

Valerie

I'm not going to argue too much with you on the belly although you do not look 5 months pregnant, maybe more like 3 which isn't too far off. But I am going to argue with you on your house. It is not that bad, Little Miss High Standards! Congrats again. I always think people are having boys. Always. But sisters are pretty cool so I kind of want you to have a sister for Allie. Plus daughters are great. Sons probably are, too, but I wouldn't know. Ok, enough rambling from me.

It is just amazing how many babies are joining the family next Spring. Unbelievable. #14 for Grandma and Grandpa. Well, they certainly have to take the credit. We have a great family. Glad you are not sick. Not so Lori and Lisa. Lori is over it now but Lisa is really struggling with nausea. It's just a tad different being pregnant with the second child. #1 child needs attention in spite of how you feel. Big applause to you for also going to school through all of this. Just remember, this too shall pass. Love you.
