FIVE!!!

We traveled for Thanksgiving and got to do some celebrating of Allison's birthday with her cousins. They decorated cakes and she opened some presents. The Monday of her actual birthday (November 28th), Allison went shopping with me to get ready for her all girls party. She picked out the cake, the colors, the balloons and the pinata...yes, a pinata!

The girls all showed up around 5pm and we got them settled for dinner. Pizza!

Allison blowing out her candles (and her friend Grace looking very nonplussed!)

Opening presents!

Candy after the pinata!

Pretty girl with a big gum ball in her cheek!

The best we got of all the girls. I was telling them not to smile (thinking that then they would actually smile). Well, Miss Grace is old enough to know the difference and of course she followed instructions - no smiling for her!

Allison had a great time and still talks about her party. It was fun to celebrate with her, and I'm guessing that this is the first one she will remember.

Allison, your dad and I cannot believe you are 5! You act older than your years, and yet we are perfectly happy to keep you a little girl for a little while longer. We love you so very much and are so blessed to be your parents!!

Happy 5!!
