Day at home without Jason. One of the first full days I had with my kids in a long time. Allie slept in until 8am, and Andrew until 9:15am. Casual breakfast, a little cartoons and play time. Then off to the park across the street.
Allison found a few little acorn tops. I commented on how cute the little mouse hats were, and that was it. They had to be collected. Not sure if some kid dropped them all over during recess, or if all the squirrels in Overland Park decided to meet and eat at the playground. Either way...they were everywhere.

On the hunt.

"Here mom, let's put them up here so Andrew can't get them."
"Oh no, my nuts. I have to move them!"
She forgets Andrew can do stairs.

These little nut hats kept those two busy for quite some time.

On to the slide. How come kids insists on climbing up the slide. Hint at rebellious nature?
"Wait for me sissy!!"
Actually it sounded more like..."uh, uh, uh. u-puh, u-puh."
Oh, and my little pack rats can't leave the house without carrying something odd. How about two combs, a spoon and the garage door opener.

Andrew has done great climbing all over playground equipment. However, two seconds later, he stepped right off this ledge. Cried "owie," calmed down, then promptly did it again. The little daredevil doesn't learn quickly!
Gotta' push the button Andrew.

Cutie pants!!

HAHA. Andrew can do stairs :) Sounds like a nice day at the park. Hopefully you didn't lose the garage door opener and wind up locked out...there's a good story!
