Jason's parents were in town last week which really helped us out. I was able to get some clinical hours in and do my PALS class at work without Allie needing to be in day care. They had a good time. Took Allie to Wonderscope on Tuesday which was a lot of fun. Debbie said she really enjoyed the art projects. I wish I was patient enough to do it with her at home. But, something about glitter in my house really bothers me! Hopefully as the weather gets warmer and we can spend more time outside we can do more creative things.

Snuggle time with grandma!!
Allie started acting like she had another ear infection today. She was saying that her ear hurt when Jason picked her up from day care. I looked in them, but to be quite honest, I'm not sure what I'm seeing. All I can say is her ear drums look weird. They both look red, but one looks like it might be perforated. The only thing is, there's no drainage and that's the one she says hurts, and usually perforated ear drums feel better than intact ones with fluid...so I'm really not sure. We gave her some Ibuprofen this evening and she ate an awesome dinner and ran around the house just fine. I have an appointment already made for Thursday with her pediatrician for an ear recheck, so hopefully we can make it through tomorrow and just go Thursday.
I am feeling very pregnant. I know I have 10 weeks to go (let's hope for 8 or 9), but I'm already getting that uncomfortable feeling. My ankles and fingers started to look a little puffy today at clinical and I'm not sure what that means. I didn't really swell with Allie, but at this point in the pregnancy I was on a really strict diet. I'm tempted to do the diet anyway. I've gained a lot of weight already and I'm terrified of having a huge baby. And yes, all those moms of big babies out there...I know it's fine! I just had a 6 pounder last time and it was marvelous...I'd like to repeat that!
Jason's job is going ok. He pulled an all nighter on Sunday night, but he met his last deadline for a while so hopefully things will slow down. I miss having him here in the evenings. Even when he's here he's so exhausted that it's hard for us to interact well. There hasn't really been any fighting...just too tired to interact!!
Allie is starting to potty train, but it's going to be a slow process I think and she's very inconsistent. I'm not worried about it...it'll happen when it happens! Some things you just can't control.
Hope you all are enjoying the weather!
Valerie
