We had a decent weekend...well, it was a great weekend that ended very poorly. It was my dad's birthday on Saturday...number 57. Anyway, My sister's boyfriend was also in town from Chicago so we all decided to get together. We ate a ton of food and sat around and had a good time. Well, Friday night Allie had some diarrhea. It wasn't terrible, but pretty yucky. Saturday she played all day, took a 3 1/2 hour nap and seemed fine, but she didn't really eat well. Saturday night, she had her bath and was all ready to go to bed when she coughed a little, gagged, and puked...just a little. I was holding her, and I really thought she was done. It went on me mostly. The, she just exploded. Huge puke! All over my parents ottoman, the floor and me. I did ok at first, but since I am hypersensitive to smells when I'm pregnant, I caught one whiff and thought I was going to vomit. Jason took Allie who was fine by this point. He cleaned her up while I stood in the kitchen trying to clean myself off and wretching the whole time. I couldn't stop it. Poor Allie kept reliving the situation to Jason and I. She would say "yucky," and make a little puking noise. She slept ok that night, but by morning she was miserable. She just sat in our laps and even fell asleep in Jason's arms. That hasn't happened since she was an infant. We put her back down at 9:15 after she got up at 8am. She slept three hours, and when she got up she was covered in poop from head to toe and crying. We got her cleaned up, settled in and then headed home. She took another 2 hour nap in the car, slept a little in my arms that evening, then miraculously, by about 8:30 that night she wanted a drink and crackers! By morning she was fine...like nothing ever happened. So...luckily it didn't last long, but the poor thing was just miserable. I hate to see my baby sick, but she survived and so did we! We really did have a good weekend and we are excited to go back for Thanksgiving. Jason's family is coming at the end of the week and I know Allie will be excited to see them. Mark hasn't seen her since he left at the end of May.
Hope all is well with all of you!
Valerie

"Yukky" is the perfect comment on this post! I'm glad you're planning a nice Thanksgiving time. We're probably going to stay in Colorado. Perhaps the Brady clan can come share the time with us!
Gross. Did anyone else catch the flu that weekend? I didn't need to be pregnant and sensitive to smells to gag my guts out whenever the girls got the flu. Bob was better at cleaning up than I was. I'm glad Allie is feeling better.
I haven't been on here in a while, basically takin a long blogger break. But I was so excited to see your expecting. CONGRATS!!! I wish you a happy, healthy, pregnancy. You baby girl gets cuter every time I am on here:)
