We had a pretty good time on Halloween. Allie was a duck. It was the cutest costume that we borrowed from a friend. At first she didn't like it, but after she saw a few kids dressed up at the day care's Halloween party, she decided it was ok. We went to day care that morning and had a little party. She played with Liam and some other kids decorating cookies after they paraded around in their costumes. I think Allie was thoroughly confused by the whole process, but she seemed to have a good time. We spent the rest of the day hanging out at home. After some dinner and it was a little darker outside we headed out to trick-or-treat. She didn't quite understand that either. Every piece of candy she got she said "open it," and would get upset if we wouldn't. We only went to a few houses in our cul-de-sac and called it a night. We headed over to our neighbors and had dinner and let the kids gorge themselves on candy. It was a successful Halloween!

Looking cute in all her duckly glory!

The tired look that says, "mom, for the love of all things holy stop taking my picture!"

"Open it! Please!"
Hope all is well with everyone. We are headed home for the weekend to see my family and I'm so ready for a break. I'm starting to have a little more energy, but still just want to sleep all day. I told Allie there was a baby in my tummy the other day. Her eyes got wide and she said, "I want to see it!" When I said it was inside and she couldn't she was disappointed. At one point she kicked me inadvertantly in the tummy and I said "owie, say you're sorry." She leaned over, said sorry and gave my belly a big kiss. She said, "sorry baby." She also said on several occasions that the baby in my tummy was "baby Jesus." No, sweetheart, I'm pretty sure that's not the case!!
