This is little Morgan Lynn. She's a few weeks old and is finally about 6 1/2 lbs. I can't believe that Allison was ever that small!! She pretty much slept through the whole thing!
Tamara's mom Debbie, brother Doug, and Jason all looking at little Morgan!

Auntie K with Allison. Allie did really well. She played and ate and pretty much hammed it up!If you will notice, she is chewing on a piece of plastic!
Aunt Joyce had some cool toys for Allie to play with. Now she walks behind things really well. I think it will still be a few weeks before she ventures to take any steps on her own.

Allison was pretty sure the party was all about her. She was right in the middle of unwrapping presents!
She was obsessed with this bow. She kept trying to undo it! If you'll notice, she doesn't have any pants on. She "white trash'd" it all afternoon!!

On Sunday I met up with some friends at the pool and we just played for a while. There were some fountains coming out of the cement that Allie kept sticking her face in. She likes the water a lot more now than she used to. We had a good time. I even allowed my picture taken in a bathing suit...the great white!!
These are the jets of water that came out of the cement. She loved it. It's a pretty good pool. It was definitely not crowded at 5:00 on a Sunday evening. Plus, it wasn't too hot.
I couldn't let her too far away from me or she would crawl right into the water. She is definitely more fearless than ever!
Anyway, another long one. But it was a great weekend. I worked Labor Day, which was fine with me. I got to have the whole weekend off, plus make time-and-a-half on Monday. Win-win!!
Much love,
Valerie

Valerie, loved the pictures!!! The photographer did a great job. Also, great job with the video. I'll have to try that. Do my girls have access to your blog? Alli was such a cutie at the shower.
Always enjoy your pictures Val. I had a nice visit with Kristi but definitely was sad to miss yet another family get together. Can't believe I still haven't seen Alli for real but the video is great and I love visiting your blog. Thanks for sharing!
Love,
AA
Oh, and I just saw your book list. I loved Marjorie Morningstar! Read it a long time ago and then, again, a more recent long time ago. I might just have to get it again! Have you read any of the Delderfield books or any by Bess Streeter Adrich?

I didn't even see your book list. I recently read Pearl Buck's The Good Earth. It's a classic but somewhat depressing because the main character loses all of his built up wealth. I'm such a romantic. Stories have to have happy endings. Loved the Shawshank Redemption. One of my favorites of all time. Another fairy tale movie that Lori and I watch all the time,,,,,Ever After with Drew Barrymore.
Let's hear it for hot chicks in swimsuits!!
