Andrew is 4!!

I can't believe Andrew turned 4!! He asked for, no, he insisted that he have a fox party. He's been asking for months for everything fox. How in the heck do you plan a fox party??!!

As lame as it was, I just made a fox shirt, put a fox on a cake, and made some fox ears for the boys to wear. That's about as much fox as you get...

See the little fox ears?

Andrew invited a couple boys from church and a couple from preschool. It was low key. Just some pizza and ice cream and water balloons!

And this is my son...who enjoys his aloof freedom, by himself, watering my plants...

Eating gluten free is a little tricky. I either have to make an entire gluten free cake, which I totally can, but it's just easier to make an ice cream cake. Of course, home made ice cream cakes are not always particularly pretty...but hey, it had a fox on it!

Andrew loved all his presents. Especially the hand-me-down toys his friend Zach insisted on giving him. Yes, this broken slinky brought him the most joy...

Sweet Andrew,
You are so full of life and imagination. You say the most ridiculously funny things. You are compassionate (like when you slapped me in the face trying to give me a high five and kissed me 10 times), you are stubborn, you take the longest possible route to get where you're going, at the chagrin of your mother...
You are smart, you are kind, you are important (yes, I watched The Help last night). Daddy and I love you so much, and are so excited to see the young man God is creating you to be! Love you big man!
