So little, yet so much

Updates from the Froelich family...

Andrew got tubes on April 16th, and is not getting his clogged tear duct repaired on May 17th. Two general anesthesia procedures in a month. Not bad for a little guy! He is eating a little better. He has always eaten baby food, but now he is doing better with crackers, pears, bananas and avacado. He eats them better if I put them on a spoon...lazy thing!

Allison is going through a "phase." She is such a smart little girl, and has figured out that temporary consequences are just that...temporary. Therefore, timeouts and spankings are having little, if no effect on her. We started today with a new strategy about "good choices." If she makes good choices, she gets good things...TV, fun snacks. If she makes bad choices (like today coloring on her hands and pants with her marker) then we take away good things. She didn't get to watch any TV today and has lost her snack after dinner. She has been getting a lot of timeouts at school lately and has started to bully her friends a little. We're working on it. I'll keep you posted.

I'm still working the same schedule. I've been needing a break from the kids with Jason being out of town for a week and then sick last week. I'm taking the evening off tonight and getting my hair cut and doing some shopping. I have yet to find a good routine to cooking and cleaning since I've started work...but for the first time, it truly doesn't bother me. What's more important is time with the kids and Jason...oh, and sleep!

Jason has started his Executive MBA program at Washington University in St. Louis. It's a satellite program, so he has classes here in KC every other weekend. He just started, so we haven't really seen any big effect from it yet, other than some studying in the evenings and his week-long kick off a few weeks back. I'm excited for him. He gets done December of 2011.

Well, those are a few things going on around here. I'm post pictures at some point...like, when I take some :)

Valerie
