Hello again...

I know that it's been a few days since I've posted. I spent Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in bed sick with the flu. Praise God I never puked, but was so weak and shaky and nothing sounded good to eat. I'm not really sure what happened...and no, I'm not pregnant. Right now there are so many people at work who are coming out pregnant, so people kept asking me if that was my problem. As if being sick in the morning means "morning sickness." Can't really imagine being pregnant right now. I know that for a while I told people that I was ready for another one...but now I realize that I need to just focus on the one that I have, not the ones that God will give me in the future. She's enough of a handful, I don't need to be adding any more stress to my life!!

Other things in the Froelich household...Jason is looking at a potential promotion. There is an opening for manager in the internal audit department at Hallmark, and he's going to apply. I feel like he has a really good chance of getting the position. He has worked in the department for over a year and the staff really respects him. But, I would encourage prayers as we all know how the business world works...the best person doesn't always get the job. It's so frustrating that so many times it's not how good you are at what you do, but where you vacation and who you know. I'm slowly learning that as well, but that is another conversation.

I just finished my online summer class. The only thing I have until January is an independent research project. I'm working with a couple other nurses in the unit on a project right now. I don't think it will be too time consuming, and I'm looking forward to getting involved in some other things. I spend most of my time at home with Allison, which is so rewarding, but sometimes I just need to get away...can I get an AMEN from all the other mothers out there!! I never knew how muc
h a child could consume your life...maybe I did and I chose not to listen!!

Had to sleep in the guest room last night. Jason spray painted the windows last night. It was quicker than actually painting and we have some new blinds we're having installed next week. So, there was a cloudy haze in our bedroom last night. We opened all the windows and put fans in them to try and air it out. It's better today, so we think we'll get to stay in our room tonight...hope so anyway, Jason's parents will be here tonight, and I'm not sleeping on the couch!!

Here are a couple more pics of Allie. She's getting so big. I think she's finally going to get some teeth soon. I can see a few small white patches under her bottom gums...but I realize that it could still be a while. She'll be 8 months old on Saturday...I'm hoping for a few teeth before she's a year!! Needless to say, she has a low grade fever and didn't sleep well last
night. The fever is new, but the sleeping...well it's always sort of been that way!

Allison loves her fridge farm. She's not really sure what to do with it yet, but loves it none the less!

I thought this was pretty cute. She found an old stuffed animal with a pacifier attached to it (something a friend gave me that's supposed to help newborns keep their binkies in their mouth). Anyway, she kept putting it in her mouth and staring at the animal like, "hey, what are you doing on here?"

Have a great day everyone!!
Valerie
